Watch the On-Demand Webinar: Eliminating Risk in Early Project Planning:
A Practical Approach

Early project planning is one of the most critical and most underestimated phases in complex building projects. When requirements are unclear, scattered, or poorly structured, teams face costly rework, misalignment, and inefficiencies that compound throughout design and construction. In this webinar, we explore how structured requirements and a centralized “single source of truth” can transform early planning into a strategic advantage. Drawing on real-world experience from healthcare and complex facility projects, you’ll learn how to reduce risk, improve collaboration, and ensure consistency from day one. We’ll also demonstrate how tools like dRofus enable teams to standardize, validate, and connect planning data across the entire project lifecycle for better outcomes and measurable cost savings.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Why early planning is often underestimated—and how it drives downstream project risk
  • How fragmented information leads to rework, delays, and cost overruns
  • The impact of weak or unstructured requirements on project success
  • How a “single source of truth” improves alignment across teams and stakeholders
  • Practical ways to structure, validate, and manage requirements from the start
  • How dRofus enables standardized planning, real-time collaboration, and seamless data integration across tools

Speakers
Shafa Hayat
Customer Success Manager
dRofus

Shafa joined dRofus as a Customer Success professional in 2024. With a background in architecture and experience in BIM and technical drawing, she has developed a strong interest in how digital processes can contribute to a more sustainable construction industry. Through her work at dRofus, Shafa has been involved in several projects across Norway, where she helps clients structure data and establish effective workflows for information management. This experience has given her valuable insight into how critical well-structured data is—not only for creating better buildings, but also for ensuring that information is maintained throughout the building’s lifecycle. When data is used efficiently and systematically, it leads to higher quality, better collaboration, and more sustainable decision-making across the entire construction process. Shafa is passionate about how technology can support a more sustainable construction industry. The digitalization of the industry opens up exciting opportunities, while also challenging us to rethink how we preserve and manage existing buildings. She is highly motivated to be part of this ongoing development.

Marie Salomonsson
Customer Success Manager
dRofus
As a Customer Success Manager at dRofus since 2014, Marie Salomonsson is passionate about helping clients in construction projects maximize the value of dRofus’ data-driven solutions. She provides expert guidance and ensures that organizations deliver smarter, more efficient projects through structured information management.

With a background in architecture, Marie brings extensive experience working with room data and functional requirements across a wide range of project types, including laboratories, offices, schools, and university buildings. Her hands-on experience enables her to effectively bridge the gap between software and real-world needs, supporting clients from early concept through to project delivery.

Helping clients solve challenges and achieve better outcomes through structured information is what she enjoys most about her role as a Customer Success Manager.

Marie is also deeply engaged in sustainability initiatives and has contributed to several projects focused on reducing environmental impact and promoting reuse. She has helped develop methods for tracking, optimizing, and effectively communicating sustainability efforts across all project stakeholders.

Marie’s Top Three:
  1. Helping people and projects perform at their best—the satisfaction of solving a problem for someone is what she enjoys most about her work
  2. Databases (with dRofus leading the way, of course)—she loves how information can be structured and organized
  3. Lists (which is why she couldn’t resist adding one here)
